The Board of Directors determines the policies and general program of the Pan American Student Forum of Texas in all its phases and supervises ways and means of forwarding the aims and welfare of the Forum.
In order to accomplish these goals, it is imperative that all Board members fulfill their obligations as elected officers and make PASF their priority. It is essential that each candidate understand the importance of this responsibility.
The following are the duties of each position. For more detailed information, see Article VII of the Bylaws.
Duties of President -- The President shall oversee all programs and activities of PASF, preside at all Board meetings, perform duties required in carrying the Convention, and appoint all committees with the assistance and approval of the Board of Directors.
Duties of First Vice-President -- The First Vice-President shall devise plans to increase the membership of the organization, be responsible for the planning and execution of the Mixer at the Convention and give a membership report at Convention.
Duties of Second Vice-President -- The Second Vice-President shall be responsible for the State Projects, assist the First Vice-President in planning and executing the Mixer at the Convention and give a report at the Convention of all chapter contributions to the State Projects.
Duties of Recording Secretary -- The Recording Secretary shall serve as Chairperson of the Resolutions Committee, keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all regular and called meetings of the Board of Directors, the State Convention, and the meeting of the House of Delegates and transcribe and submit the minutes of the Board of Directors meetings to the State Sponsor.
Duties of Student Directors -- Each Student Director shall be appointed by the President to serve as chairperson of one the following committees: Nominations, Credentials, and Elections. The Student Directors shall be responsible for the duties of the committees which they chair, write articles for the PAN AM TIMES, work Registration at the Convention and perform any other duties assigned to them by the President.
